Greetings from Music City, a city that sleeps, mostly.

The final movement, a Scherzo, makes use of descending scales as one of the unifying traits that encompass the thematic material. There are other traits that unify the work as a whole. I converted the MP3 to 197kbps using the original WAV output from Siberlius 5.25 to bring the size of it down to under 30MB. It was encoded with iTunes 8.2.1. The 320kbps was a hefty 52MB for the MP3.

One can catch more detail on your Stereo with speakers or with good headphones. Adjusting the bass downward, or perhaps increase treble settings may be an improvement. I have tried to balance the requisite reverb and attempted a new style of mixing.

I have made an attempt to keep the score neat and correct with my intentions, so it is easier to follow. The score is presented transposed.

Parts by request, just email.

Thank you.

Which method of viewing music should I use?

Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:

seView

seView, is the most compatible option. You should be able to view music on all modern web browsers including most mobile devices. Even if your device does not support javascript you should still be able to preview at least page one of the music.

You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.

Scorch

Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.

If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
