Arcangelo Corelli was an Italian born violinist, composer and conductor - the youngest of five children. There are many myths concerning his early life and career but what we do know is Corelli's father, a notable land owner, died only a few weeks before his birth. His mother subsequently named her youngest son after his late father. Here we have the first three in a set of twelve Sonata's Corelli wrote for String Trio. They have been transcribed for Saxophone Trio.
