Yet another pile of rubble. I dont have any idea why this piece happened. I think it had to do with the fact that we had a powerful thunderstorm blow though here and it obviously corrupted my piano leaving this puddle of notes on the floor. I managed to get FEMA to pay for the clean up. Lord knows, Im not going anywhere near this mess.
As to the title, feel free to ascribe any meaning to it you wish:
1) The title has no meaning. It is like the notes themselves, a mere rubble heap.
2) The title is an alarmingly uncleaver mutilation of the name John Adams gave to his marvelous Short Ride In A Fast Machine
3) The tile refers to a conjecture in Physics. The Lorenz Fitzgerald Contraction, which describes the shortening of an object along its direction of motion as it approaches the speed of light (as measured by an observer at rest with respect to the object). Hence, Fast Ride In A Short Machine.
