Questa composizione nasce come omaggio al Complesso Bandistico “Luigi Bordogna” di Albegno (Bergamo) in occasione del centenario della fondazione (1903-2003). Il brano è concepito come un classico “bis”, da eseguire al termine di un concerto, e si propone di evidenziare le varie sezioni della Banda, anche in forma coreografica. Partendo dal presupposto che di norma la sezione dei bassi non è quasi mai utilizzata in veste solistica, si è voluto affidare ad essa proprio l’inizio del brano, in piedi e in perfetta solitudine. Da qui l’idea del titolo. A seguire, anche le altre sezioni sono evidenziate con interventi solistici sempre sottolineati dall’indicazione “in piedi!”. Suggeriamo di modificare la strumentazione, qualora alcuna delle sezioni fosse “scoperta” oppure limitata a un singolo esecutore. L’organico delle percussioni prevede 4 esecutori: timpani, batteria e 2 esecutori che si alternano con Maracas-Piatti a 2 e Guiro-Cassa. Alla lettera I è previsto un dialogo (o meglio, “conflitto”) tra percussioni e fiati. Alla lettera J, tale conflitto si allarga a “suoni gravi contro suoni acuti”! (Si può prevedere anche una mimica dello scontro!). Alla lettera K è previsto un “assolo” di Ottavino. In mancanza può essere affidato ai Flauti. Alla lettera L inizia una sezione con una “improvvisazione” da parte di clarinetto, tromba e trombone. Anche in questo caso è possibile variare la strumentazione secondo le esigenze. Alla lettera N tutta la Banda si alza in piedi! Sulla corona dell’ultima battuta è possibile inserire una voce al grido di: “Viva la Banda!” Buon divertimento!

This composition was born as a tribute to the "Luigi Bordogna" Band Complex in Albegno (Bergamo) on the occasion of the centenary of the foundation (1903-2003). The piece is conceived as a classic "bis", to be performed at the end of a concert, and aims to highlight the various sections of the Band, also in choreographic form. Starting from the assumption that normally the bass section is almost never used as a solo, we wanted to entrust to it the beginning of the song, standing and in perfect solitude. Hence the idea of the title. Afterwards, the other sections will also be highlighted with solo interventions always underlined by the indication "standing!". We suggest modifying the instrumentation, if any of the sections were "uncovered" or limited to a single performer. The percussion staff includes 4 performers: tympani, drums and 2 performers that alternate with Maracas-Piatti a 2 and Guiro-Bass Drum. At letter I there is a dialogue (or rather, "conflict") between percussion and wind instruments. At letter J, this conflict extends to "low sounds against high sounds"! (You can also foresee a mimic of the clash!). At letter K there is a "solo" by Ottavino. Failing that, it can be entrusted to the Flutes. At the letter L begins a section with an "improvisation" by the clarinet, trumpet and trombone. Also in this case it is possible to vary the instrumentation according to the needs. At letter N the whole Band stands up! On the crown of the last bar it is possible to insert a voice shouting: "Long live Band!" Have fun!
