Cavatina (Raff) for organ solo
Written by the 19th century Swiss violin virtuso Joachim Raff, for his own use, the ’Cavatina’ is now his best remembered work. It is far removed from most of his other virtuso pieces, being much more subdued and reflective. For this reason it makes an excellent organ voluntary - ideal as a wedding interlude for instance.
