Loch Earn is a reel written by composer, performer and music publisher Nathaniel Gow (1763 – 1831), fourth son of acclaimed Perthshire fiddler Niel Gow.

Loch Earn itself is a Scottish fresh water loch, approximately six and a half miles long, which lies within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The area around the loch is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including kingfishers, osprey, red kites, red deer, mountain hare and wild goats. Loch Earn is used extensively for fishing and assorted water-sports activities.
