This trio is a version of a Piano Trio with Violin and Cello, the violin part here being replaced with the Clarinet with obvious changes needed to the new instrumental part. It has 3 movements, the second, a set of variations on the Japanese folk-song "Sakura". The two outer movements have sections of varied tempi.
