Eastbound is an uptempo latin jazz tune for rhythm section and soprano sax. The written solo is a transcription from the recording on the CD "Don’t Stop The Feeling". Originally recorded in 1988, this tune is reminiscent of the styles of the 80’s- Pat Metheny, Dave Liebman, Wayne Shorter, etc. Note the predominant use of upper structure triads (triads over triads) used in the solo and the written Montuno style patterns on the piano.
