One of the 8 winning works (from 98 entries) in the "Handel-Inspired" Composition Competition. Premiered and recorded by Paul Ayres on 'Handel House' Organ at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, 2007

'In Handel’s Name' is built on three notes: G-F-B (H in German), which are the initials of the great Baroque composer George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). The three notes are transformed into a series of motives and themes with different characters and tonal/modal centres. These tonal centres also move from G to F, and finally to B.
