In the second movement of his Serenade for Strings, Dvorak mixes minor-key melancholy with a fleet and buoyant waltz. This arrangement for saxophone quartet is transposed down half a step into c minor, but not otherwise simplified. It's a delightful concert piece for advanced high school players and adults.
