A suite of three selections from Edvard Grieg's Op. 71, the 10th and final volume of "Lyric Pieces" for piano. The pieces are transposed into friendly keys. "Remembrances" (Efterklang) is an elegant waltz. "Summer's Eve" (Sommeraften) evokes Norwegian summer twilight as well as French Impressionism. "Puck" (Småtroll) is Grieg's portrait of a mischievous little troll. It's a delightful concert piece or encore for an advanced woodwind quintet.
