Solo Classical Guitar - "Wild Wasabi Wraiths" is the fifth and final solo classical piece in the "Wraiths" series, NOT to be confused with any of my other sinister series, that pay tribute to Fiends (not friends) and other horrible beasts of the night and to the marvelous influences, much to many's dismay and chagrin, they have had on my person and my composing.
"Wild Wasabi Wraiths" is chiefly a 10/16 A minor blues. But it certainly has its share of unpleasant surprises and oddities. The opening ostinato is carried through most of the piece with a few interruptions for increasing the intensity of the overall nastiness. At m. 13 there is a polyrhythmic build up to a confluence of themes. The opening motif continues on unmolested, while and new 14/16 theme is superimposed upon it. MM. 16-41 will require extreme care in its preparations. That will conclude the excerpt.
Though the "Wraiths" pieces share little thematic material yet make the same sinister and haunting aura about them. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this piece as well as the other "Wraiths" pieces.
