This arrangement refers to the minuet, 2nd movement from the Sonata No. 20 op. 49 No. 2 by Ludwig van Beethoven. Felix Reuter has transformed the minuet, originally written in lively three-four time, into a dreamy, contemplative pop ballad: in a quiet four-four time, with modern harmonics and a constantly flowing accompaniment of the left hand. In the middle section, he lets new melodic thoughts light up in a free-associative manner, in order to finally return home to the opening theme peacefully and with loving ornamentation.
