This is a composition written for the memory of a beautiful family pet, Penny, a Whippet-Jack Russell cross. She was a much-loved member of our family for over 14 years. She had a very gentle nature and was adored by everyone that met her especially young children…
She will be greatly missed by everyone. The music reflects some of the sadness of her passing but also remembering the many happy memories we have of such a wonderful family dog. A gentle slower repeating main melody with faster moving countermelodies and a descending Bass Line.
It is scored for the Full Orchestra including parts for Harp, Glockenspiel, Drum set, and Timpani. It has a light rock feel.
