For example, in 1812, Beethoven wrote a set of three equali for four trombones. Since these pieces have trombones and a trumpet, they must therefore be "inequali."
It's not clear what, if anything, is being borne to the grave in this "cort�ge". Think of it as incidental music to a scene of night in the city after the rain has stopped falling.
