This piece was written for the Chicago Brass Band Players. The introduction had fanfare type figures combined with an lyrical line over an ostinato. The Aria is operatic with lyrical outer sections contrasting with a dramatic middlesection. The dance uses rhythmic sections of 7/8 and 5/8 contrasting with sections of 4/4 that contained tight counterpoint. The tonal language is modal and tonal throughout.
