Alilo (Otsdakhutsa Dekembersa)
Alilo (Otsdakhutsa Dekembersa, which literally means December 25th) is a wassailing song, a Georgian equivalent of the English carol "We wish you a Merry Christmas". In Verse 4, the line 'Arieli marieli', which means nothing, is followed my 'nu gagvishveb tsarieli' - we won't go away empty-handed, i.e. without the equivalent of 'figgy pudding'! …and then Verse 5 says 'We are not beggars, we are the heralds of Christ!'
