Tootie-Flooties! (Flutes/Recorders & Piano)

This was written originally for a secondary school recorder group and piano, but has been re-scored for flute ensemble. Flute 1 could be played by just one performer, Flute 2 splits into two parts frequently, and Flute 3 only once, so a minimum of five players is really needed. The jazz notation was soon mastered, once the players had associated the phrases with their more easily-felt rhythms. Flute 2 can be played by treble recorders, and Flute 3 by tenors. I have also included a descant recorder part, with the octave transpostion, and necessary final note alteration. A light drum accompaniment was used when the piece was first given.
Following a request from flautist, Anita Hall, I have made a Music Minus 1 version of the piano part, so that the piece can be played without having a real piano / pianist available! This can be heard on the attached MP3 file, and downloaded, if required.
Additionally I have now included a piano part only, again following a request to do so.

I have also include an optional drum part.

Which method of viewing music should I use?

Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:

seView

seView, is the most compatible option. You should be able to view music on all modern web browsers including most mobile devices. Even if your device does not support javascript you should still be able to preview at least page one of the music.

You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.

Scorch

Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.

If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
