Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805) was an italian cello virtuoso and composer. He composed 91 string quartets and 113 string quintets. The celebrated and charming menuet is from the string quartet in E major, Op. 11 No. 5. The original key is A major. Special care has been taken in this arrangement to simplify the piece for the beginner or the young pianist. If you find the Trio part too difficult try playing just the Menuet part only.
