555-5555 is a phone number that doesn’t work. This wind quintet is based on the number five and a phone call to that number. The recorded operator tells the quintet to hang up, but the flutist keeps picking the phone up after the clarinetist hangs it up. They feud over the phone for awhile until reaching an apparent truce after about five minutes.
