The work was an exploration of my Gaelic roots and of Celtic music in general. Celtic music truly is in my blood (Mom's side of the family) and this set of pieces was inspired by various movies, TV shows, and pictures of the Irish and Scottish countryside. The theme is varied in the subsequent movements either melodically, harmonically, rhythmically, or by change of key.
