You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.Having decided to arrange the complete Brandenburg Cocerto No.3 for brass band, I feel that this movement is virtually finished. I have tried to maintain the flow of the original, but with compromises. Players whould be aware that this work was originally written for strings, so weighting and articulation of notes has to be emulated rather than literally read. Adding staccato values may, in fact, undermine what Bach intended rather than enhance it. Timpani is optional but is there to support rather than dominate.
N.B. the concerto is now complete (unless there are tweaks to do!). 2nd mvt. may be a wee bit contraversal but I have to add my own touch to something … sometime! Feel free to review!
