An arrangement for SATB Saxophone Quartet from the second of Gershwin’s famous piano preludes (I-III). This is the simplest of the three, but requires a lot from the players in terms of expression, ensemble and colour. Soprano line requires a safe top G, but optional 8vb can be taken, making it very useable with a more intermediate group.
Three Preludes (arr. Saxophone Quartet) are available as a set, or Preludes I and III are also available separately. See Related Scores.
