My husband has long claimed this old gospel song as his favorite. The story of Charles Tindley is quite inspiring. He was the son of slaves and taught himself to read. He made himself availabe to God, and God used him greatly. He became the pastor of a very large church and wrote many inspired verses and songs. I'm honored to have arranged one of his songs into a piano solo.
