The Festive Dance (from Suspicious Grief musical)begins, to celebrate end of harvest or other community event. The dancers gather in a large circle, stepping lightly and rhythmically with emphasis on certain steps.
The slower section allows the dancers to pair off for a slow waltz and then the they gather again for the final circle, which slows to a halt with the final bars.
The piece may look harder that it really is - there are some 'fiddly' bits for the left hand in the piano to add colour to the music. This can be simplified by the player quite easily.
