Seven Day Symphony - 2. Tuesday - Romantic.
A theme that I wrote out when I was a teenager, that I finally got around to orchestrating. I always liked this tune. I was playing it on the piano one day and my mum who has a limited musical ear said, "that's a beautiful tune". The B section, if you analyse it, is actually very heavily chromaticised, but add jazz harmonies, and the result is very Parisian circa 1910's. Think Cocteau and Les Six, or the soundtrack to a French romantic comedy. Enjoy with Clam Souffle and Bollie-Stollies.
