"Solveg's Song" is taken from "Peer Gynt" which is a play by author Henrik Ibsen with incidental music, Suite No 2, Opus 55, by Edward Grieg.� Solveg is a girl who Peer Gynt abndonsand this 'Lament' is a song of her grief, and hopes that someday he will return.� I have given the bass line an update with a Slow Beat style feel.� The cadanza at the end is my inovation and represents Peer Gynt "cocking a snook" at Solveg, it may be played at the descretion of the performer !!
