Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming, or Es ist ein Ros entsprungen, is a Christmas carol of German origin. The original text was written by an anonymous author, and was translated to English by Theodore Baker in 1894. The popular harmonization used today (and used in this transcription) was written by German composer Michael Praetorius in 1609.

This is a standard, easy arrangement for four-part men. Feel free to print it and distribute it as much as needed. Merry Christmas!
