This peice uses a children’s poem by the famous poet, Vachel Lindsay. The piece was a hit with the judges at the Virginia State contest for childrens choruses. This is the orginial instumentation. The chorus was directed by Mrs. Todd Barnes and she has agreed to answer any questions you may have about rehearsing or performing it. Her E-mail is email@example.com
Later it was orchestrated and the choir sang it with the Northern Neck Symphony Orchestra. It was well recieved and brought alot of people to the concert that would not have otherwise come. It helped the orchestra grow community support. The Marriot Company Foundation executive was in the audience and she gave the orchestra a grant not just for one year but for every year that we applied. However, the MP3 is not of this performance. In making the recording, I took several different children to a recording studio and produced the orchestra sound digitally.
