Pastorale Part 2, movement 2-Vermis
This is the second movement from the second part from my Pastorale which is a composition made up of two parts with each part containing two movements. The first part is for string quartet, and the second part is for string trio. The first part (1. Sunrise; 2. Grazing) symbolizes rebirth, life, and prosperity in nature. This idea is conveyed to the listener by the use of consonance, lush harmonies, and a clear form. The second part (1. Feral; 2. Vermis) represents deterioration and disorganization which is expressed through the use of greater chromaticism and dissonance.
