This piece was written for a wedding ceremony but can be sung as a general concert piece. It has a classical and gospel feel intertwined. It can be sung without the top line - the African and/or gospel feel is more apparent and the 5/4 timing feels intuitive. It works very well with three soloists or with a choir singing the bottom lines and soloist taking the top part. There are no dynamics stated as it is up to the group how they want to approach it. Likewise phrasing is open and should be adapted to style of delivery and breath control.
