Why Octo-Piece? Because it is a little study in octave playing for beginners, it is 8 bars long, requires the correct use of 8 digits…. and I had a crazy thought of a little Octopus dancing to it…. Oh dear! Too much time composing for children I guess….
Like all my music, it is in a nice easy size to read. As I said to one of my Year 3 students, I like really big music because I wear glasses and children like it because it looks less scary for young beginners…. He agreed! :)
There is a TAB part for any non-reading "cross-over" players and I have done a music only part for purists (and my classical guitar students whom I do want to read music!)
