Arranged for a quartet of two euphoniums and two bass tubas, this is known as one of J.S. Bach's most famous works (BWV 565), although the attribution is far from certain. Whoever the composer was, this is still a tremendously atmospheric piece.
This arrangement was first performed by the University of Warwick Tuba Quartet (myself, Colin 'Mac' MacDonald, Sue Gentry and Simon Loukes) at St. Barbara's Church in Earlsdon, Coventry in 1998.
