You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.These pieces were all written for very young guitarists I teach in Primary school. My youngest current pupils are in Y3 (grade 2) so the remit I gave myself was to include lots of octaves for recognition of high, low and bass ranges, to keep the pieces easy by avoiding nasty stretches, and to include note name noteheads in a large font. The pieces themselves had to be fun and are loosely themed on the sea and a guitar playing octopus…. Hence Octo-Pieces! (Octopus, octo-piece,octave…. and of course there had to be eight of them!)
Later pieces are a little harder and include some higher notes, harmonics and interesting effects. I hope teachers will find them useful, I know my pupils enjoy playing them without the TAB.
