The Commercial for 2 pianos is a rhythmic study written for a future TV commercial. Although genre could be discribed as minimalistic , the structure is based on traditional sonata form. According to composer Jean Izbell, the aim in writting this piece was to make repetition as the source for change and create change through repetition, a contradiction which has the objective of shifting the focus of perception of what constitute change and continuity in time.
