An arrangement for lever harp of the charming Cradle Song by Vladimir Rebikov ("Little Girl Rocking Her Doll"), originally one of a suite of children's piano pieces. Rebikov deserves to be better known. Although this piece is fairly conventional in style, it shows his use of unresolved 7ths and minimalism. He innovated such techniques as whole-tone scale, polytonality & extensive use of 7th and 9th harmonies well before they became common in French Impressionism, and was a minimalist generations before the term was coined. Difficulty: advanced elementary to early intermediate.
