This easy arrangement for small harp (lever or Celtic) is suitable as a study or a concert piece. Vladimir Rebikov (1866-1920) was one of the most modern composers of the 19th century Russian school. This piece demonstrates his tendecy to minimalism generations before the term was coined. The ostinato bass suggests a hurdy-gurdy, while the cheerful melody shows Rebikov's use of unresolved sevenths, long before the French Impressionists "discovered" them. No levers are required - may be played on a harp with diatonic tuning.
