Inspired by seeing local band MoodSwingz recently, and considering that they could do with something a little edgier to play and improvise over, I have used this set of changes I wrote on the guitar sometime ago to create my first new composition for 2010. The bass line is pleasantly busy and works well to create a nice little groove to play against the drummers favourite funk pattern! I am hoping the guitarist will enjoy playing the changes using the chord voicings specified ( I certainly do ). I was pleased with the melodies I came up with and it should sound just dandy on the trumpet and guitar. I have added a contrasting B section for the soloists to have a good time ripping over. Enjoy!
