These tunes are of a variety of character, moods, and levels of difficulty. The characteristic fiddle slides and turns are written in the classical notation and form. The guitar chords are indicated above the melody lines and suggested strum rhythms are given in the guitar scores. The tunes can be treated with the characteristic bluegrass style of instruments taking turns with the melody and accompaniment. The mandolin can play tremolo on the longer notes, whereas the fiddle will vibrato those notes.
