It is written in E-flat to be used with the New English Hymnal, but feel free to transpose it to the correct key for your choir or hymnal. For example, the Ancient and Modern series of hymnals has this hymn in D major, and therefore the descant will need to be transposed down a semi-tone. The BBC Songs of Praise has this hymn in E major, so it will need to be transposed up a semi-tone (this will please your sopranos no end!!).
