This is one of 4 movements of a baroque style sonata, so named because it was first performed (as a sax trio) at an informal concert in the North Transcept of the cathedral of York Minster on 1st June 2006. Here the sounds used are of a string orchestra, though it lends itself to many instrumental combinations.
