This piece was written as part of my MA in English Cathedral Music. It is based on Olivier Messiaen?s motet ?O Sacrum Convivium?. The melodic material was derived from the original motet by means of solmisation and the key signature and use of short repeating phrases were inspired by the original. A much fuller commentary is available from me, should you be interested!
