This is written for the occasion of Willemay Cheek's memorial service in May of 2007. She died at the age of 97 and I took one of her poems she had written and sent to me 10 years before. The violin part was there because she and her husband had played in the violin section of the college orchestra when they met in the 1930's. Willemay was a geneologist, poet, computer whiz, potter, Albion College librarian, wit and local heroine until the day she died.
