I was fortunate enough to work for Lincolnshire Music Service for many years, but now retired for health reasons. I am a first study guitarist, but composing has always been an interest and I am trying to find more time for this as I did well in my student days. I am trying to revise earlier compositions between writing new ones, then I shall begin on uploading more recent songs and recordings. What I wrote as a student was out of its time - modern classical music was then relentlessly atonal and I like expressive melody and harmony. I am happy to arrange both vocal and instrumental music if time permits! Any genre within reason including jazz, rock, pop and classical. I believe in readability so where scores are large it is advisable to get the parts to avoid page turns! Hobbies apart from music? I write poetry (my latest is available on Amazon -see below for link if interested) and I used to be seriously involved in politics as a parliamentary candidate for the Lib Dems - but no longer - my music, persian cats, friends and family here and in Canada are my priorities.
