This arrangement for full choir basically follows the familiar harmonies of the original editions. It is intended as a challenging but not difficult alternative to existing available arrangements. The original key appears to have been C, where the piece was for solo voice and organ. Schirmer editions of the 1870s and 1880s, either for solo voice or soloist with choir, are apparently uniformly in Eb, the key I have retained here. If the final Bb is too high, then there is printed precedent for substituting G, then up to the Ab as printed, and on to the end.
