This is the first canon I wrote. It originally didn't have the basso ostinato. I liked it so much I decided to keep writing canons and I haven't stopped yet. It can really be performed with any combination of instruments or even voices. It has a very sunny disposition I think.
Updated 2011-02-19. Transcribed for Flugelhorns. MP3 added. The mp3 only plays thru one repeat, but optimally three or four may be best.
