The "Concerto for Oboe & Chamber Ensemble" was written to provide a concerto type musical experience but without have to have an orchestra. The supporting ensemble of Bb Clarinet, F Horn, and string quartet is an easier ensemble to put together. It is in 3 movements - basically fast / slow / fast. It requires a conductor. It was first performed by oboist Harry Sargous. Length is approx. 19 minutes. It is a post tonal work.
