"I Will Pour Out" was inspired by Joel 2: 28, 29. My church has begun a "artist's collective" that encourages artists and composers to produce works inspired by scripture. Currently we are in Joel and one of our exercises was to create a "blackout poem" from a selected scripture passage - in this case Joel 2: 28-32. This is my first attempt to use two string orchestras to accompany a SATB choir.
