The original tune (LYNGHAM) was composed by Thomas Jarman(1715-81) with words by Charles Wesley (1707-88) The Descant part can be played on Flute, Clarinet, or Trumpet during the 3rd and 6th verses. You might like to add the brass parts on all the even verses etc. There is an optional Keyboard/Piano part. The percussion parts include Timpani and Glockenspiel parts. There are also optional parts for the Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Saxophones. If you use this arrangement let me know how it goes!
