Dr Peter Foster
Most of the music on my SibeliusMusic page is either choral or congregational music for liturgical use, and was written for St. Matthew's Church, Oxford, where I have directed the music for the past 15 years. Our approach there is that the music we use in worship should reflect the wide diversity of backgrounds in the members of the church, so our musicians are all adept at switching from electric guitars one moment to unaccompanied polyphony the next (all right, maybe I'm exaggerating a little…).
The other musical hats I wear are as Head of Music at Wheatley Park School, a large secondary school near Oxford, and as a clarinet and saxophone player. My CD Wood and wires, a collection of compositions for woodwind instruments accompanied by electronics, is available from CD Baby, or directly from my website.
